Sathkudige Estate: Spanning around 241 acres, Sathkudige Estate is a haven for coffee Plantation and Processing. Our coffee fields are predominantly planted with Robusta, but we also cultivate a limited amount of Arabica. Our estate is also home to intercrops such as Areca & pepper, and a host of essential facilities such as processing units, coffee dryer unit, drying yards, Rainwater harvest ponds, effluent tanks, godowns, weighbridge and a plant nursery. We process both our own fruits alongside coffee and Areca fruits bought from Local Estates.
B. Shettigeri: A compact yet vital part of our operations, B. Shettigeri covers around 14 acres in the district of Coorg. This unit focuses on processing, drying yards, godowns, and nursery. We handle both bought coffee and bought areca here, ensuring the same level of care and quality. Our facilities have the capacity to process around 30,000 Tons of coffee and areca annually across both units combined. Behind the scenes, our dedicated team works tirelessly to bring the best of Chikmagalur’s Finest Coffee Cherry and Areca nuts:
We specialize in processing two exquisite types of coffee:
- Parchment Coffee
- Cherry Coffee
But our story doesn't end with coffee. We also process two varieties of areca nuts:
At our coffee Estate, we embrace sustainable practices to ensure our coffee is grown and processed in harmony with nature. Our cultivation methods emphasize minimal intervention, allowing the coffee plants to thrive in their natural environment. We compost coffee husks, along with leaves and other organic wastes which enrich the soil with essential nutrients, fostering healthy plant growth.
When it comes to processing, we use the husk of the Areca fruit in the areca nut boiling process, which not only utilizes natural resources but also reduces waste. Furthermore, for the processing of Areca nuts, we employ only natural ingredients (a boiled and concentrated extract of only organic material), ensuring that the entire process is free from harmful chemicals. Additionally, we have rainforest alliance harvesting ponds that capture and store rainwater, which we use for irrigation. We are holders of Rain Forest Alliance Certificate and 4C Certificate by ETG KCIPL. Our effluent tanks, designed to treat and recycle wastewater, also provide an additional source of water for the estate. By integrating these eco-friendly practices, we not only produce high-quality coffee but also contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious world.
Every coffee parchment & cherry and every nut of areca we produce is a labour of love, nurtured by the dedicated hands of our workforce and the fertile lands of Chikmagalur. Our estates are more than just fields—they are a legacy of passion, perseverance, and a deep connection to nature. So, the next time you savour a cup of coffee, remember the story behind it—our story.
